    Hi.
Does anyone have the $oem$ folder and pid.txt for a dell vista ultimate x64 oem disc? Would it be the same as the $oem$ folder from a x86 (32bit) disc?
Any input would be appreciated. :)

    Hi,

So how can I make my own Dell Vista Ultimate OEM SP1 dvd? Can I just download Ultimate Retail SP1 dvd image from MSDN and drop the OEM folder into it?

    How does this work?

Don't download Ultimate Retail SP1 Download Vista SP1 a proper Vista image has All versions in it not just i,e, Ultimate

And Yes you can add $OEM$ folder just remeber to edit pid.txt number to what version you require. i just done sp1 x64 and x86 ultimate yesterday

@ Xerxes321, If your $OEM$ folder is in zip or rar format extract it , the open up you Vista.iso image with ultraiso and drag the $OEM$ folder and PID.TXT into sources folder and burn DVD, as for the PID.TXT you dont need to add it to sources folder if you don't want to but when Installing vista you will need to manually input serial number for version you want to install.

    Unattend.xml

    Hi All,

Just a noob question. What is UNATTEND.XML? And how does it work, or should I be asking how is it related to OEM? Please advise.

    Many thanks!

I see... I guess I need to learn more about this file but the introduction seems a good start to dig in. Thanks!
