For windows xp, if you were had xp with sp1 installed, and you did a repair install with a xp sp2 cd, it would work. that sort of forces the service pack upgrade if you had problems installing the service pack the normal way. But for vista, is there such a way? I do know that vista allows a repair install, but that has to be done in windows. And you have to use the same service pack cd. Which is not very helpful, at all. Any ideas, workarounds, anything..
