MSDN ISO has already been leaked. You can convert the WZT and trial ISOs into MSDN ISO. Search for "Microsoft Windows 8 and Visual Studio 2012 RTM xdeltas" on TPB.
What do you need the MSDN ISO for when the trial ISOs are available for free from Microsoft's website? The only difference is the installer which doesn't include a static product key, but you can always enter the key manually and that's it, or run setup with a switch: vs_professional.exe /ProductKey <25-digit-pkey> No need for warez when the original bits are out in the open. At first, I thought they made setup more secure with this release... but obviously, they don't seem to care when people use a ~ 10,000 € license like the Ultimate one for free.
Forget the xDeltas, get the real thing... It took a little while, but looks like it's finally arrived! pastebin.com/kQSL9Lrq
Yes, sure, but for what reason? All you need is a key, 25 bytes without hyphens, no xdeltas, leaked ISOs etc. Heck, why not just leak the installers (vs_professional.exe, vs_ultimate.exe) then? I mean, I wonder how many people here will actually use Visual Studio productively, and will require the Ultimate edition for that.
Maybe so, but I prefer to get the iso with the SHA1 hash that *exactly* matches the known, real MSDN released iso. Does the WZT release with the xDeltas applied create an iso with the exact same known-good SHA1 hash? If not, I'm not touching it for fear of tampering. If so, then fine but why go through the bother of apply delta patches when you can get a known-good iso in one download?
A separate download - even via MSDN. However, since I qualify for VS 2012 Professional via Website Spark, VS 2012 Express Desktop is, in fact, moot.
Seems that the difference between both isos is that WZT one contain a file in which you'll find a product key. That's the reason for it to not ask it when installing VS 2012
Entering a serial for the trial version is just working. That's why I don't care much. I guess that Wzt already embedded a serial inside the installer.
hi all, just curious. I remember that Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate MSDN have a Static Activation Key in the file setup.sdb, under [Product Key]. Does any know where the Product Key for Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate MSDN is ??? thanks
