I would imagine the culprit is the AntiWPA files..not any of the OEMBIOS changer..I put that there mainly for X64 activation if somebody breaks the check...delete these and check..I bet it is clean. Windows security essentials picks this out also..These are harmless to you... These are in the activation tools folder..But the src file is EXACTLY the same as the exe..if you dont trust me, delete the exe and run the batch..I have nothing to gain by screwing with your machine, nor do I have the time or inclination to manage a virus....
I am trying to convert an XP into SLP OEM, but even if I pressed caps lock, and put in my SLP OEM key, all the entries will say "Key not appropriate for this Windows". What does it mean, can't find anything at google. Do I need to do a repair reinstall of another windows or reinstall? Thanks.

encountered a problem on some really old xp pro installations. the systems were installed using the original xp vlk media from 2001 without any service packs integrated. the oembios changer window would open and then close before displaying any words in the windows. fixed the problem by adding string value called "Pid" with a value of "76487OEM" to the following subtree. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Pid prior to adding the string, the HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup\Pid subtree did not exist at all. apparently, this subtree is only created with windows xp sp1 or above installation media.

question, say i installed XP professional on a ASUS computer that i changed from VLK to OEM (Made a Dell OEM CD) , could i use this tool and change the OEMBIOS fies from DELL to ASUS? cuz i tried it and it didnt work
Yes, you can. But use compressed files (I tested & it did NOT work with uncompressed files - simply did not copy them to the right places) Of course you could just copy the files by hand in safe mode (not much of a problem) sebus
wasnt going to put a seperate thread out, but There is a few more options in this tool. It allows to change any oembios files, XP 32 bit, WHS from retail or if the WHSmaker does not totally work (it has happened), and of course VLK2OEM. It is basically an enhanced version of dobbelina's script with some personal touches and additional tools. MGADiag, OObe checker, OEMBIOS.exe, and AntiWPA3 is included
