VMWware?

What version of VMware are you guys using? Server? Workstation.. there are like a 10 different versions now. Its been a while since I used VMWare... a damn long time.

 

I am download the KMS image file from torrent and I am activated Pro N version with vmware player(only about 48mb)without problem.

 

so after the 180 days itll try to re-activate it automatically and you'll be able to use it for another 180 days?

 

Workstation is good enough to use the image.

Ya a W7 KMS can't activate a server OS.

 

** NEW ** russian W7 (e*n*t*e*r*p*r*i*s*e) K*m*s VM which really works till the year 2020.

It has a k*m*s-m*a*n*a*g*e*r to set every 180 days 25 clients in kms.
I have tested k*m*s in two vm's on xp. In one vm new k*m*s and in other W7 e*n*t*e*r*p*r*i*s*e r*t*m.

Login with: K u ! pw. K u ! (without spaces) Use this also for d/l.
D/l rar 1,8 Gig.(vm 6.5.2. needed for use) k*m*s login: K _ 7 pw. R a t 2 1 2 (without spaces).

I made k*m*s and e*n*t*e*r*p*r*i*s*e exactly the same:
-on both my dutch language (add dvd-drive to vm-k*m*s) and Amsterdam+1 timezone and disabled time sync.
-on both same location-, language-, date- and time- notations.

Correct ip - sub - gateway and dns in k*m*s so you can always ping vice versa, and correct resume time in k*m*s from 10 min. to never.
Don't shutdown k*m*s but resume alsways or you must correct lan everytime. Never update k*m*s. Disable internet or make a local vm config. while using k*m*s.

A*c*t*i*v*a*t*i*o*n - example:
Your e*n*t*e*r*p*r*i*s*e has date and time 26.08.2009 12:00:00 (dutch).
Start k*m*s from resume. Choose with k*m*s-manager t*i*m*e*s*t*a*m*p 22.08.2009 01:29. In k*m*s stay hands off from time, only change date to 26.08.2009.

After that in e*n*t*e*r*p*r*i*s*e correct -by hand- only time to the running time of k*m*s. A differance of 4-5 seconds (later) is no problem. A*c*t*i*v*a*t*e and done and set time of your e*n*t*e*r*p*r*i*s*e back to actual time.
I have tried another 4 following t*i*m*e*s*t*a*m*p*s on the same way, and with succes. Perhaps there are more ways (or easier ways) to a*c*t*i*v*a*t*e but I can't read the russian readme-file. Let us know.

note.

In the first 30 days of live of this new k*m*s you can also a*c*t*i*v*a*t*e without t*i*m*e*s*t*a*m*p by using time/date sync of k*m*s and e*n*t*e*r*p*r*i*s*e (both must have same notations as mentioned above). After plm. 178 days you can use the t*i*m*e*s*t*a*m*p (as in example) which is laying before your a*c*t*i*v*a*t*i*o*n date.

 

Is there a KMS available that will work with Server 2008 R2?

 

I think only the 2 programs (KMSManager and D&T "date and time")

But it's in Russian, English not installed

Use a language pack to make it any language only the KMS Manager program stays in rusian.

 

Can anybody upload his already converted to english kms server to a newsgroup ? Torrents are so slow here and i really hate rapidshare links.

With the old kms-vm you can only activates for 180 days + 90 days total rearm.

With the new kms-vm you can do multiple activations of 180 days over years.

Explanation:

The old kms-vm cannot re-activate after 30 and 180 days.

I have tested this in a lot of date/time situations in two vm machines:

On 11 august 2009 the unused old kms-vm sees daylight and was made with a start-count of 25 client PC's.
The kms-vm only activates when there are a minimum of 25 client PC's on the counter.
Activation before 10 september 2009 is good working. Kms-vm count jumps to 26 activated client PC's after one activation.
You have to know that every of the 25 client PC has to contact the kms-vm within 30 days after 11 august 2009 to keep 25 client PC's on the counter.
But those 25 client PC's in the unused old vm-kms will and can never contact your local kms-vm, because they are fake !
So 30/180 days after 11 august 2009 the count jumps to 1 client PC, and you cannot activate anymore or you need to share your vm-kms with 25 client PC's over the internet.
After 180 days activation you only can do 3 times slmgr -rearm so you can use W7 Enterprise for another 90 days (3x30). So the totaly local use will be 270 days.

In kms-vm I edit VMX-file (config) and I tried with rtc.startTime = "1250002800" (11 august 2009 GMT+3) before activation and later on I tried the use of another rtc.startTime after activation. I put it under the line tools.synchronize.shrink = "FALSE".
As contrasted with former melindagates.local.kms (vista) the use of rtc.startTime doesn't work anymore, because ms was so clever to make activation only possible if timezone, date and time of kms(-vm) and client PC are the same.

Now the russians bypass this limitation with their timestamps of 179 days/25 client PC's.
So a new kms-vm was born.

There are two choices for KMS server right now. Russian unlimited dates version or english version which has a problem after 180 days.
