    Thank You soooooo much i am making great progress and was able to activate using all the information on here with the oembios files with VMware fusion and different roms. I actually purchased windows 7 pro but found out the licensed copy of xp that it comes with wont activate with vmware fusion ( i own a mac), i was able to successfully activate with this bios and the lenovo oembios files with the vhd that comes with "xp mode" and was wondering if I'm doing something wrong to make the "xp mode" license work with the original vhd (converted of course to vmdk) with this bios rom, ill probably just keep using the ibm one until i can get it working right. any suggestions are greatly appreciated otherwise thanks again

    I just installed VMware Workstation 7.0.1. I don't know if the BIOS changed (I haven't reshacked it), but the old one seems to be working.

    Some more info would be good have you installed an windows OS system on the VM since then run oembios.exe or slic dump tool kit then report.

    i would like to know how i can create a bios with Phoenix/Award/Ami-Tool with MULTIPLE SLP-Strings inside?

    The tool-description says:

    Code:
    SLIC and SLP files - The program needs:
    - A 374 byte SLIC file ...
    - A one line text file containing the SLP string you wish to be inserted. Again, ASUS is included. See blabla- only the text string (without ') after the hex numbers is needed in the TXT file

    By hand! editing the bioscode2.rom while running Phoenixtool (search my threads, already explained it previously)

    @replicant

    Code:
