if you look in the folder|s containing your virtual machine configuration files (usually located in your Documents\Virtual Machines\) in subdirectories for .vmx files and open in notepad... look for line:- vmx.buildtype = "debug" and change to vmx.buildtype = "release", it has the same effect as removing or renaming the vmware-vmx-debug.exe. personally, I just delete the vmware-vmx-debug.exe, as it serves no purpose for me, and in so doing, I don't have to edit any .vmx config files. oddly, the latest final version VMware Workstation 8.0.0 build-471780, is the only version I have seen install vmware-vmx-debug.exe.... it is common, and default for beta versions, but in final versions not present until now... I will be interested to see if future final builds install with this .exe. as for patcher options, no commas or spaces... it's one at a time.
Those options have not as yet been added to uploaded Patcher, they are proposed options, that may or may not happen in "Reconstructed" version of Patcher. I have created a patcher for Apple MAC OS Menu Unlock which appears to work without error, but I'm not happy with VirusTotal false positives of the patch created from the tool used (diablo2oo2 dup2 patch generator). I have asked diablo2oo2 to have a look at several files in the tool, which I think may be responsible for false positives. If fixed, then I will add, if not, I won't.
yeah, I've looked at bsdiff|bspatch, and noticed that insanelymac forums been using that, amongst others. I don't want to use it because it's an offset patcher, and not a search and replace patcher...meaning for example you take vm v8 exe edit it, and compare original to edited to get .bsdiff file, but if vm v8.1 exe comes along, with recompiled exe, then odds are bspatch just patches at old offsets....and fails. I want to use the above patcher, because it has the ability to search for a hex pattern, regardless of offset, and patch, so I can patch vm v7.1 - vm v8.x. ... it can also do registry check, to see installed version etc, and run commands to stop and start vm services without a seperate.bat file etc.... and all silent. I have advised diablo2oo2 that I think the main culprit for false positives, from generated patch file is language dll file in the tool, and hopefully that problem will be addressed.
Seems this projekt would do hell of alot of good. so im wondering why the download links arn't working ^^; i managed to get ahold of an old file but then i updated to vmware workstation 8 and now it's not working..
Which one? Or you want ALL of them? You can download installer, patch your copy of .exe & then extract rom from the patched copy with XN Resource Editor All in all 5 min job sebus
I do not want to patch the .exe, if somebody could post a link to the original DELL one it would be very helpful Thanks in advance
Is there any con to using the 315 bios over the 339? All my VM,s are built off a Gigabyte Bios (315) and was wondering if there was anything that might cause issues. Also does anyone know why they removed the windows explorer shell intergration for mounting virtual hard drives? It was there in 7.1X but went missing in 8.
