Exactly the same, either specify BIOS in .vmx file or replace resources in exe

sebus, is there a tutorial to put the new slic back in the vmware exe? it took a little time but I got the SLIC and the SLP in and working. I just can’t find anything that explains how to put it back in the exe other then an old tutorial that talks about Utlraedit and ResHack. Are these the tools I need to do this?

No I don't think I explained what I was asking well. I already put the 2.1 Slic and the SLP in the 6006.binres file and I can boot it in Vmware 9.01 if I add the line in the vmx file of the VM and with the slictool 2.3 I can see there are both there and working and windows 7 is activated and running fine. I was asking was there a tutorial other then the one that included Ultraedit and ResHack to but the 6006 file back into the vmware vmx exe file so I do have the need to had the extra line win the vmx? Both the posts you referance dont really go into how to put it back in the exe. Thanks in advance

Will SLIC 2.2 activate Windows 7/ Server 2008 R2 as well? Or only SLIC 2.1 works for both?

    SLIC revisions are backward compatible.
