I am signing up for Technet and want to convert my current Daz/OEM versions to retail with new keys without reinstalling. Do I need to reinstall the Retail certificate with the new key?
Are there retail certificates? Naahh.. You cant really convert7 OEM to Retail, you can open the "ei.cfg" file with notepad and change oem to retail.. But its all decided what key you use. If you are using daz loader now, just uninstall and go back to trial, then use your own key..Although I really dont know why you want to use a retail key when you have a perfectly activated OEM..
I want to convert my daughters laptop to move away to school and I want to make sure that she doesn't encounter any problems with future updates. So what you telling me is that I can install the key and by virtue of the fact that it is a retail key the cert won't matter???
