W7 SP2 release date?

    Hi
    When will Windows 7 SP2 be released to the public?
    I've found pages saying mid-2012 only :g:

    And do anybody know if it will bring any changes, other than a lot of updates?
    All i've found is speculations o_O

    Nothing so far, MS won't want to release a Service Pack for Win7 before Win8 comes out, as they are trying to get nearly everyone to focus on upgrading to Windows 8, when it comes out in October.

    Windows 8 will fail, the only good thing is the boot up speed for older machines but nothing more.
