I think an old version of removeWAT or chewWGA removed or renamed that, try to find these and try uninstalling.

    No Idea.

You say you have previously run RWAT. Perhaps that has pooched it for you. Perhaps the RWAT author will chime in and say if this is down to rwat. Otherwise, I've no idea. If that file is missing, and you don't know why, then how many others are missing or compromised? Basically, the installation is pooched and personally I would flatten it. I wouldn't waste a moment on diagnosing it further.

You may choose to ignore the errors for now, if they are not causing any problem. Up to you.

Are you certain your installation source ISO was untouched?

I don't think slmgr.vbs is affected by RemoveWAT at all.

Digital River x64 copy. Only thing I did was delete ie.cfg.
If it was renamed, is there anyway of changing it back or was it changed into some random encrypted file name?

Use Google to search for Torrent sites. Then use this keyword "Windows 7 RTM" ... you'll be able to download the ISO of Windows7 which is from an MSDN subscriber. :)

    Validation Errors or Activation Exploits
Validation errors and activation exploits try to bypass the Windows activation process and are sometimes included with counterfeit copies of Windows. If a validation error or activation exploit is detected, you will be directed to more information on the Internet for resolution of the activation exploit or the validation error. When validation errors or activation exploits are removed, you may be asked to use a valid product key to activate the copy of Windows 7 that is running on your computer. If you decide not to resolve the validation error or the activation exploit at that time, you will be periodically notified that the copy of Windows 7 that is running on your computer is not genuine. Additionally, Windows will provide a link to more information online for resolution.

seems like most said they are targeting the pre activated ones being sold imo

Yep, as expected. And as soon as Daz's loader gets bundled into an ISO sold on the streets of China, it will be targeted too.

It's silly these guys fighting over whos loader is more popular and easier to use. The popular and easy to use cracks are the ones that get used the most and therefore targeted. Rather than trying to find the most popular and easiest to use crack, you would be better off finding something less popular and harder to use in the long run.

That what happens with remvoewat and chewga and other similar programs. Thats why you always use loader or preferably bios mod, because erasing/modifying vital system files will sooner or later create some problems. I would just reinstall if i where you and get over with it, its most safe way that everything will be "as it should" after.

Yes SoLoR is right.. at least you have to know how to restore them properly...

    run

    sfc /scannow

to fix it...it restores all system files.....(A clean install is the best way alternatively though)

I read it anyway. Post edit history.

Anyway, it doesn't work like that, and genuine downloads work.

    One question:
Do downloads from MS site, that require validation, use new WAT system, or the old one that was easily bypassed by loaders with OEM keys.

To clarify, if you opt to not install new WAT update on your system, will downloads from MS site still trigger new validation that removes common exploits or not.
