yes it is preinstalled, but it's possible to buy these oem stuff without a computer. if you buy it, you get an OEM-CD and an OEM-COA.
u cant but OEM software its PREINSTALLED on a certain comp with a matching key n cert. the only when u can buy OEM is if you buy a pc laptop notebook whatever prinstalled with windows
i was always under the assumption they got shipped already with OEM on didnt no you could buy OEM OEM software means no CD/DVD, no packing case, no booklets and no overhead cost so how would you get this on your comp??
lol, cooljay is going to be saying sorry again. OEM software is software that is shipped with a piece of hardware and is cheaper than the standalone retail. For instance, if you received a hard drive and a copy of Windows on disc, that was an OEM copy.
@qwerta That's what i mean. They are labeled as OEM or SystemBuilder and don't conatin any manual or free support calls @ microsoft. Just CD and COA.
thanks for the info cooljay, anyway as long as the serial is from msdnaa and has not passed the 10x activation then my friend is safe, as what he said.. the good thing with me.. im using daz loader and acronis! whahehehehe
i always assumed hazar that OEM was not on CD and it was all preinstalled on your PC i thought the vendors are the only people that could have legit access to this i dont mind saying sorry when iam wrong though hazar not everybodys perfect
Here in Belgium, it's possible to buy an OEM (with a sticker for the PC). Normally, this OEM version must be installed on the PC by manufacturer but also by retailer. When you buy your PC in several parts like me for self mounting, you may buy the soft and install yourself (what I did!). I prefer this option because I choose myself how to install it. I tried to buy this OEM version in several stores to see how they reacts to my request and response was always the same : no problem we can sell you this OEM version and not only Utlimate, but all OEM version. What matters the most is I paid for this. It's only valid for one activation. An other activation will be possible when you change your PC by calling M$ by phone only. You speak with a robot and this one gives you other activation code after you give him identification code for the new PC. That's all. I did it with a registerd version of M$ Office 2007 which is installed on several PC now. All updates are authorized on every computer. But my question was this : - suppose WAT is not a fake! I enter my genuine key in loader for the second PC. WAT detects my loader and invalid it. Will my key be blacklisted or activation will still be "active" if I can say it so! Thanks Christian
wow if this all ends up true what yen said about the bios' then this sucks plain and simple. i helped a number of freinds bios mod their machines (that i knew well) and im sure even though they are old freinds they will be pissed at me lol since they removed their genuine windows 7 installations to use 7. guess ill be redoing a lot of systems with vista again. arghh
LISTEN PEOPLE please how can you buy a OEM DVD/CD when OEM means no CD/dvd no packaging etc its a stripped dwn version so how would this get on your comp and isnt it installed with a matchin cert and key how would you get that matchin certs on??
no its not oem slp. it doesnt work that way. those all have separate keys and the problem with them is you need to always reactivate if anything major changes like sometimes the gpu or the bios. its a pain i used to buy all oem vista. if you go that way make a good backup after fresh install imo
oo crikeyy u tellin me there more then one oem now :O and what you saying is if your motherboard and procssor give up on you you have to buy another OEM? sorry peppsss iam wrong agen i dnt say sorry more then twice you know P.S i bloodi love this site ya know i learn summit new everyday with you peeps
if you buy a oem from newegg it has its own key. not like the oem slp keys we have here so yen you are pretty confident in your thoughts how this will all work now?? looks like ms will be winning after all.
OEM SLP and OEM COA are two different types of key. OEM SLP is for system locked pre-installation, in the factory. OEM COA is what's printed on the bottom, and supported by the OEM via phone. Then there are OEM keys sold with goods, these are just like retail keys with a bit of hardware bundled with them
oem doesn't mean "No CD is shipped". Every PC we buy e.g. from HP or Dell comes with an installation cd for the operating system. and this cd's can be bought in any shop with the proper COA.
