    i no mine turned not guinue after turning it off then turned it bk on later in day

    Is there a queue at the WAT servers? So for some people, WAT has already called home and for others it hasnt?
    Something like the call centres? Yur call gets through, you are flagged/genuinated.

    Hazar, to re-grant access to the WAT files it would simply be a change of the switch to "grant" wouldn't it, like;

    icacls "%windir%\System32\Wat\*" /grant *S-1-1-0:F

    ?

    Has anyone been able to get the official wat from ms downloadcenter or updatecatalog? If not then it's almost impossible there's a queue cause only people with this unofficial wat can call home then, and I don't think that are such a lot.

    nothing available in my updates yet. 12:20pm EST. probably wait until at least 1800 for it to show up.

    Couldn´t we track the connections with a sniffer and block access to the WAT-Servers with the host-File?

    From what I've heard it won't be on winupdate at least until tomorrow, it should be released today but only for peple who want to manually download it, so only from downloadcenter or updatecatalog

    So how is the official WAT going to be different from the unofficial one? Loaded with new definitions?

    hmm the main sytem im actually worried about i just imaged and installed it on but i cant get the thing to call home. its driving me nuts to see if this passes or not. this system has the same mobo i build almost the whole families systems with like mom, sister, mother in law etc and they all have bios mods. im gritting my teeth waiting for this one to connect.

    Tested on my system with MSI certificate slic 2.1 bios mod - still activated =)

    im sure what will happen eventually is it will be like the monthly thing they release and that or a separate update will prob include defs for it

    Ok, quick question, how the hell is everyone here getting their Office 2007 to show as 100% genuine? Besides the obvious reason...

    Agreed. Am also somewhat mystified by the hysteria over WAT calling home, WAT updating like an antivirus etc. Point is even WGA called home and MS released updates and patches whenever they wanted to.
