Check Task Scheduler. WAT has registered itself under Microsoft --> Windows --> Windows Activation Technology. It schedules itself to run at start-up + if someone tries to create/modify task, it will fire-up to do its nasty work. Another interesting thing is that its starting date has been set as 1/1/2004. They think they are smart. Anyone eager to run WAT manually can simply run the first scheduled task. Be careful, if you are on mission critical task. There might be a false positive or some inevitable consequence(s) (grub overwrite, licensing store malfunctioning, persistent tagging etc.) as some guys have reported here.
wow. nice than maybe we will get some final results.. im kinda annoyed at it making tasks to run. if i wanted it running taks i would have made them myself.. edit yup its up and running now, just go to the windows validate page
100% agreed i think we gave them to much as it is already just downloaded it. its actually called windowsactivationupdate.exe
