Notice that MGADiag now detects the BIOS slic data, and he got an alert and it clearly detected a SLIC mismatch of some kind. WAT is active?
First of all, I am running legit and none of this personaly effects me, that said, you are a pathetic little fearmongering piece of crap. What happens happens, it will not happen because you said it will, in fact you have no bearing or impact on what happens. You are the same guy who was insisting that WAT was imminent on October 18th 2009, you were wrong then and you are wrong now, and eventually when you are right, guess what, even a broke clock is right twice a day. Get a clue and get a life. MS may lock out every bios mod and loader tomorrow but it will have nothing to do with you. What happens happens, if they manage to stop the party just view it as extended beta testing and buy yourself an upgrade DVD.
So much speculation and BS. The only ones who know are if the loaders and bios mods will be killed off are M$. We've all been here before........ Remembe October 22nd. Im getting deja vu here.
OEM Activation 1.0 Data--> N/A OEM Activation 2.0 Data--> BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes Windows marker version: 0x20001 OEMID and OEMTableID Consistent: yes BIOS Information: ACPI Table NameOEMID ValueOEMTableID Value APICACRSYSAPIC0946 FACPACRSYSACRPRDCT HPETACRSYSOEMHPET MCFGACRSYSOEMMCFG SLICACRSYSACRPRDCT OEMBACRSYSOEMB0946 ASF!AMD SB600ASF SSDTA M I POWERNOW Yes it look at everything
The mechanism to read ACPI tables was obviously already in the OS. It wouldn't function otherwise, comptuers wouldn't start or do anything. I think computers have done this since the 70's
Well let me answer firsthand, lawl. #1 I don't know what a loader is. #2 I built my computer but I didn't install windows, a pc repair guy I know did #3 The key I started out with was a Volume License (or so I thought). You think maybe it was mistyped and took a month to correctly validate? #4 Perhaps I am a tool. I'm only competent enough to put some computer pieces together and troubleshoot issues. My solution, use a different key. Thanks for all your input!
The key installed on your computer was an OEM SLP key for use with a BIOS that has a SLIC 2.1 in it. Your BIOS had an ACER slic inside it, so you need an ACER certificate aswell as an OEM SLP key to activate OEM style. OEM SLP is not VL.
If the guy charged you to do this "repair" then find a different repair guy. You should not have told the MS moderators that this was a VL key and you had it on different computers, you just admited to knowingly or unkowingly running multiple illigetimate installs. Good luck getting your machine legit, but for future reference, don't post there, then post here with the same exact user name, kind of obvious.
A loader was almost certainly used, Likeley HotCarl or omdhar's. The default SLIC for zsmin's loader is acer so all he needed was an acer cert aswell
You don't understand, the key was copied from a list of VL keys. What are the chances of mistyping a VL key and getting an OEM key. There is another issue here. I have tried another VL key and am getting the error that it can't be authenticated with that key.
