did you use a retail key though, yeah all the retail keys should pass i have them from technet now. but ALL my bios mods are still working
Yea, I actually have a legit MSDN retail key for Pro lol I did have a bios mod system and a modded bios just in case ready but I figured being how I got the retail key for free and it should be more full proof cause it is legal I would use that. I had win7 RTM activated via bios mod like 1-2 months before the official launch on October 22, 2009 so I know quite a bit about how it works but I really have no need for it right now.
ok its activated. I click the text in my system panel where it tells you your not activated and then it took me to the page in firefox and then it said i was genuine.
@kidkree1: I would go with the bios mod method if you can but be warned that it bios flashing has it's risks but Bios mods are a lot more reliable then Loaders(Daz's is the best though). Loaders are a lot easier for ppl who do not know much about computers but generally not as reliable. I can make a bios mod for you if you like just send me a pm if you want me to. @jznomoney: It is probably just a minor bug with the WAT system as it is brand new. Give it time and I am sure that will be fixed.
ok how do I go about doing so and removing the key that didnt pass? I have a MSI K9N6PGM-F/FI (MS-7309) AMI Bios and version 9.9
Looking for feedback on whether I should pass if I download the update. No loader. This is a modded bios and then used opatool to load MSI cert and then chose MSI again but I think it loaded a generic key. Using Win7 Pro from the depository page.
you would need to remove the loader. then simply follow the instructions to change the key you done reall need to remove the old one it will get replaced when you run the command to change it again. post a link to download the bios for us from msi.
Thank you for the quick feedback. I was worried about the generic key since we dont have one here fom MSI for win7 Pro in the OEM SLP key collection
So as of now, RemoveWAT isnt working and every thing else is? I think Daz's loader will be targeted next.
