This is what OEM:COA keys are being given for, in the first place. In fact, legit oem users aren't even supposed to know that their computer was pre-activated by a key other than what is on their sticker. If there's needed some kind of restore or upgrade, use you own legit COA key and re-activate on-line. Even now small oems install oem Windows without all slp stuff, put a sticker with the key on the case, and the end-users have to activate it on-line (or by phone) by themselves..
i know that lol. i was replying to the person who said they will require mac and cpuid's for activation. that will never happen
armada: I think we are not so far away from each other. You are right, the method must be easy and without any fancy things. BUT was I wrote they have to kill this pre activated copys. So, I thing for sure they will do anything about this loaders.
should i follow this method since i've already validate my windows 7 yesterday through microsoft/genuine?disable the validation task?
thanks chris for replying. so, i should leave it like that? enabled? then MS will call my home? sorry i need to know more about this. abit confused here.
Happy to be corrected, BUT thats not the way I read it. You will be assumed genuine. Otherwise more problems for M$ if people get validation then take their computer off line. Craftbrewer
They have a counter installed and in 90 days when you are not allow to be the service online you will be not genuine (as I see disassembled in the WAT Service). I maybe wrong, but I dont think so.
This is really up to you, BUT I hate the idea my computer needs to call home. And remember, M$ can change this to every week, every day even. The 90days is their first attempt at a reasonable time period, BUT this can be changed. I still believe that if you run WAT once, your genuine, and should be able to get ALL updates, and you can disable the call home facility and stay genuine. If you disable the call home feature, your still genuine, (BUT I will look more into whether you cant access updates until WAT runs again) Craftbrewer
Craftbrewer: At the moment you are right, but with SP1 I think you will have no chance. This will install automatic.
ok craft, let's say i want to disable the task. when should i enable the task back? when SP1 updates is available?
