To me its simple We are all learning what WAT will do, and I bet even M$ will continue to twig it. My plan is simple, I will only reactivate it again if 1. I cant get ALL the updates, patches M$ puts out 2. For what ever reason (which I dont think will happen) after 90 days I go non-genuine 3. Some major change to WAT happens that requires me to re-run it again. Craftbrewer
Wat is not a kms if you are not online at 90 days nothing going happen it will keep trying until you are online
Til you need to reactivate it, ie you cant get a update or patch, or even possible as late as SP1. Who knows, it depends on M$ and what they do??????? its fliud, BUT the great thing is you dont have the bloody thing wanting to phone home. PLUS every time you reactivate it, you first do a mirror copy of the hard drive, so your safe from any changes IF in the unlikely case they twig it and you go non-genuine. Craftbrewer
the work around is this, IF M$ blocks updates from being installed without the WAT update simply do this > remove all cracks and mods > deactivate > > run in gracemode OR rearm> get updates > reapply HACKS Really guys you gotta think HOW offen do you NEED A update right away ? " ie OMFG critical bug affecting my work MUST HAVE PATCH NOW" I am not even gonna worrie about this unless I ABSOFKINGLOULY need to install it its O P T I O N A L A T M PROFIT ?? now all we need is someone to make a script that does the above for you
To the person asking about the leaked HP MAK key !!!! my Win 7 pro version passed !!!! lol. It was more of an experiment using the MAK in the first place....... its on an old Toshiba laptop i hardly use. Its been on since i WAT'd yesterday rebooted a few times and it and still working fine!!!
Well, my bios mod pass but the infamous wat fuc... my games. NFS Shift hangs and the joystick goes mad. Reinstall backup without wat an every is ok
They are talking about this method (provided by Hazar): 1. Disconnect from the internet (unplug cable and disable any wireless) 2. Install the leaked update (x86 is for 32-bit, and x64 is for 64-bit) 3. After you install the update and before you restart the computer, go to All Programs -> Accessories and right click on Command Prompt and run it as administrator. 4. Copy, paste and run the following command: takeown /f "%windir%\System32\Wat\*" 5. After running that command, copy, paste and run the next command: icacls "%windir%\System32\Wat\*" /deny *S-1-1-0:F 6. Type exit to close the command prompt 7. You are now protected from the update and can reconnect to the internet
This is not available for me to download, I wonder why? Just ran an update and is saying I am all upto date?
Thanks Just did that (Replaced with Dell) Getting ready to reboot now. WAT wasn't installed yet in my system, was still showing up as Genuine
Hi All, Has it yet been proven whether Installing and then Passing WAT, and then removing the official KB (prior to FAILING WAT), will revert the PC back to its original state with no trace of WAT left ??
