May be a bug, may be a feature. LOL Are you talking about Frequent or Pinned? If you pin a site, it will also be there in the Start Screen. Removing the tile from the Start Screen will remove it from the Pinned list on Metro IE.
Pinned. That doesn't work on my computer. It is removed from the start screen but not in the Metro IE.
When you right click on the Tile in Start Screen, did you click Remove or Unpin? If you clicked Unpin, the Tile will be removed, but the will remain in Pinned list on MEtro IE.
So I have an SSD and I'm going to install Windows 8. I've installed Windows 7 on SSDs many times and am aware of some of the tweaks you need to do to optimize the use of the SSD....like TRIM, prefetch/superfetch stuff, defrag, page file, etc. What kind of things do I need to do for Windows 8?
do exactly the same things,no difference,i've installed windows 8 on my ssd's plenty of times, windows 8 feels alot faster on ssd,at least for me it does, for example, windows explorer, accessing your library files, much more snappier, especially the new file transfer thing, wow!! i love that!! and web surfing
Install to a separate drive from within Windows 7 (or other version of Windows) after mounting the ISO using your ISO mounting tool of choice (I use VirtualCloneDrive for this) and run SETUP.EXE from the \SOURCES folder. (Naturally, only a full/non-upgrade install is allowed; however, the target partition can be blank/unformatted. This applies to all versions of the WDP - including the Server DP.) Why VirtualCloneDrive? It's free, it supports unlimited virtual drives, and it's rock-solid - even better, not a single scrap of adware (unlike Daemon Tools Lite, for example).
Hi dudes. I installed WDP x32 8102 at clean NTFS partition. Installed from the flash drive - no any problems. All updates installed without any problems also. Starts without any problems, all hardware detected and installed without any problems. As a result, I can only view desktop and explorer. None of the most needed services are not working - even msc.exe, services.exe, eventviewer.exe fail to start. IE also starts but falls. What's wrong?
You may already know but I didn't found a screen shot for this here yet: This is how the File History dialog looks in the WDP You can access it my clicking on Home > Open > History in the Explorer Ribbon.
I do not know if that is new for others but for me is: I installed WDP again yesterday and I found flash player installed allready after restart...and youtube is playng in IE Metro interface.....I remember...until now ...to play youtube cannot in Metro IE...
Youtube is not paying with Flash Player. Its playing the videos using HTML5. Right click the video and see.
Ok,thanks but has not working until last reinstallation of WDP...when I tried to play with Youtube...until then, the desktop version was necessary...BTW,we have here a site who play only in Flash....that site is working from yesterday too seems here all is running from Immersive IE
