Can I just spam the thread again with a question if someone has hacked away the 768p minimum for wwa? I did obvious simple things like search for 768 in the registry and inside wwahost.exe but haven't found the lock yet. I wanna run it on my 1280x720 screen. Update: btw that's stupid, I'll just get the sdk version of win8 and running a default wwa project in vs11 should fail too. Then I just debug from there where the resolution check happens. If it makes trouble, I'll bring out ollydbg! And you can verify that it's exactly 768p that is the limit as you can set 767p with VMwareResolutionSet.exe 0 1 , 0 0 1280 767 and check that it fails, then set VMwareResolutionSet.exe 0 1 , 0 0 1280 768 and see that wwa works. Installing the dev version of win8 now, I'll have this pos setting hacked in no time.
Does any one know, how to change the user's picture? Don't like the greenish thing at all. Didn't find any thing to change it :[
Start Screen> Click on your User Tile>Change User Tile Or Start Screen>Control Panel>Personalize>User Tile
Anyone figure out how to hack in media center 7 into windows 8? I attempted to copy the ehome folder from my windows 7 to 8. launched eshell, and it prompted me about setting some permissions, then wanted to download .net, then wanted to reboot. but doesn't launch after the reboot. I wish it was that easy
when I listen to some music at youtube, the sound volume is very low. cannot control it, when I turn up the volume, windows decreases it again :/
Can I install WDP without bootable installation media, on another partition, without messing up my Windows 7, and with Aero enabled (VHD option gone)? Too much? lol
Hehe, maybe because that's too obvious We even get problems when they reach RTM stage; not to mention when it's still officially ... unofficial (i.e. WDP ... BETA)
my display resolution is 1280x1024 and the apps worked before. I tried the windows defender method jkommeren but did not work but thanks .
These shiny Updates w8 already got might have broken more than they fixed. Metro Apps crash now after starting em, for me.
