    I started off with eSet Smart Security v4 .... all seemed good till eset started saying it couldn't create temp files to update .......

    I'm getting the same problem as you.:(

    I dumped AVG and started using avast! after the recommendations of this thread. Definitely the right choice.

    we as users must remember that we can live even without antivirus if we are very carefull.

    Just don't download or open suspicious files, use Firefox with its security addons for surfing, update your Windows Defender, use gmail for emails, use a hardware router etc.

    I have avira premium, but I still have to click on a virus yet since 2 years..

    Avira AntiVir Free...top rated A/V...just have to live with a few false positives on keygens, patches etc.
