u dont give up do u.... u truly think electric is answer to everything ha ha ha ha thats the biggest achilles heel of them all.
I suppose an electric car would make sense for a person like me who doesn't travel more the 80 miles a week, I visit my son or daughter (about 60 miles round trip) food, ymca ,hard ware store ect, but for a long trip 1500 miles or so I don't have enough confidence in electric cars yet.
No need, it tells you where to stop, for how long (we all stop to eat on long trips, sleep over etc.), it's all at the tip of your fingers...
Teslas keep troves of drivers' personal data, even after they're scrapped – or resold https://www.rt.com/usa/455119-teslas-hoard-data-unencrypted-resold/
I can go more than 300 miles (although most standard ev's are not close to that yet) without a pitstop... except to pee but that does not take more than 20 minutes as of today
My Acura goes 400 miles on a tank, but my pickup truck doesn't get as good mileage, only about 250. Would actually be okay for me since I'd be ready for a long break after driving 250 miles. Don't know how fast electric cars charge at this point, but if it could be done in an hour that would be fine. Don't think it's that fast yet, is it?
Nah, 300 miles/500km is enough before you need to stretch your legs... Especially if you have family to feed - 1/2 hour or 40 minutes is enough to get 80% charge easy...
my Acura MDX gets about 360 miles on a full tank of gas but thats mainly highway miles....in the city i would about 200 miles maybe less....but unlike electric i can fill up in any gas station which are every were.
You go home sometimes, yes? This is where you plug in your EV. No more gas stations, the waiting, the smell, the cashier...Or at work... Or while shopping at a mall... Get the picture?
I mainly do short distance trips on a daily basis so charging at home would be fine. It's only long trips where charging is a concern. I don't do those very often. A little extra planning for charging stops shouldn't be a problem. So yeah looking forward to having an electric car. No more gas stations paying those high prices for fuel will be a good feeling. Also no more oil changes and other IC engine related maintenance.
u forget one small detail what about people who live in a apartment complex in a third or four or five floor how are they going to charge that car......u still need does charging stations for people in that situation...not everyone owns or lives in a home.
