I good idea in theory but not reality. Not really green when I think of all the extra pollutants going up in the air from extra work load the power stations are pumping to keep up demands, let alone the manufacture of the batteries and transportation of the batteries even before they go into the finished cars. Then there is mining for copper ,cobalt , lead etc.. not all that environmental is it?? Then there are charging waiting times, rather fill up diesel or petrol and be on my way. I call bs on the whole experiment.
Yeah, it's surely a problem to transport a battery that need to be installed/replaced once or twice in the life of a car. Better to move gasoline that needs to be refilled once or twice a week.
