yepp, totally, I suppose we take some sort of a high ground when we try to distance ourselves from nature as if humans are not part of it already, just because we can "think" doesn't really make us "superior" or "inferior" to other animals or plants or life in general, we are born here, on this earth and part of this nature, we shape nature & environment around us and the nature & environment shapes us back
and moreover I also think that we as a species should focus on conquering space and ocean because we pretty much have conquered the land and air, tho there isn't any universal "purpose" I believe in but maybe this could be our purpose
I think that framing it as "Meaning" of life already implies that life owes you something. It's a very narcissistic way of looking at life itself. IMO, I would ask "What is the purpose of life?" That has much different implications.
