Whenever I get a 8.1 disc from online if I convert the esd to wim and extract which edition I want (which is core) if I then convert just that edition back to esd and install everything is fine. However at some point between adding drivers, removing apps and converting back to ESD it breaks. I wonder if its removing apps that is the problem. Is there a safe way to remove all the apps (as I never use them) bar old.net framework and things like calculator without breaking it or is there a way to repair whats broken.
