ZTE Zmax Pro: model Z981 (metropcs model) (I paid less the $65 when on sale) Android: 6.01 Usually I hate ZTE phones allot but this one I actually enjoyed using. Its fast, takes great pictures, easy to use. I had it for 2 years. The longest I have ever owned a phone. Most break or malfunction just after a year. My family members have the same phone and theirs work great. Mine has the final firmware and ota patches from metropcs but Its glitchy as hell though looking at gallery pictures some times cause them to turn gray and have lines in them. Sometimes it will only charge to 67% and no higher, sometimes it randomly disconnects charging status and goes into data transfer mode when plugged into a wall charger and will not charge battery. It randomly turns on screen when there are no calls, texts or no notifications. I have factory reset it and even tried reinstalling firmware and still its glitchy. I Might try buying another one. any suggestions on a 5inch screen that has atleast 16gb internal storage, android 6+ and is less then $70. I refuse to by a phone for more since I have gone through allot of phones
I switch off from my newest HTC U12 Life 4GB/64GB+128 microSD Moonlight Blue Stock running Oreo 8.1 and my HTC One M-9u x32 Rooted S-Off Robert Downey Jr. Special Edition running linage 16 pie
I've always been a user Nexus phones but Pixel are too expensive (Bugs) in Brazil so I decided to buy a Moto G5 Plus, great devs and cheap price
I bought a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S 64 GB for $370 during Black Friday and I am happy. Really good hardware for the price and software is also good but some things are annoying like telemetry in all the mi apps but they are at least open about it and not trying to hide that they collect your data. There is ads everywhere, even in settings unless you use debloat software to remove it but it's expected since they sell phones at cheaper price then some other manufacturers and need to get more money from ads. Also annoying that a Mi account is required to enable some developer settings. Overall I give it 9 out of 10. I was using a Samsung E2200 as main phone until I bought this one.
You're probably happy not having a cell phone, but in case you're interested, you can buy a smart phone at Walmart for under $50 and if you go with one of their plans, you can pay about $40 a month for unlimited everything. It's called month-to-month. No contract. You can pay every month, or do automatic payments from your bank account.
@JBenal: Thanks for your advice, but my finances are sorely limited. I had to make a choice between an "unlimited" data plan that doesn't throttle ( no such thing ) and a real internet connection. So, instead of paying $50-$90 on cellular service, I opted to pick up a 220 Mbps internet connection with a home phone. I works better for my needs. P.S. I gave you a like because you thought enough of me to offer me an option.
I use Moto G5 Plus with Oreo 8.1.0 with Samsung Browser, Adblock Plus for Samsung browser, Firewall block no root.. My smartphone last 2 days of battery depends what up, Usually 1.4 days of battery use.. I have add tweaking tools to weed out startup or Kill Force stop apps to save battery times. It's unlocked model.. I pay $239.00 US Plus add 128GB MicroSD card Plus 32gb internal as well. ATGPUD2003
I useTool All in one, CC Cleaner, Ram Cleanup, Adblock Plus, Samsung Internet Browser and more.. to reduce bloatware.. In fact I don't use Chrome Browser cuz I disable it.. Plus there is Hidden TweakUI in Moto G5 Plus that I still use. Works charm
using a really old droid turbo only use text and phone battery lasts for about 3-4 days, I don't know why they even call them a cell phone any more in reality they are mini computers that they want you to replace every year for a lot of money so they can spy on you, I have a desk top for that LOL
I have one from Thomas Alva Edison times, works well and there's no problems with the batteries, at all.
