I just use the default browser for the OS I'm currently in.

    MAC OS - Safari.

    Windows - IE.

It's like "b4" which is Bingo-Speak for the word "before".:D

What is preventing me from using it it's the lack of installation personalization. I can't even choose where to install the software! And in addition, that google updater background process/startup entry. Chrome can be my 2nd favorite browser after Opera, but i'll never use it for real, apart from testing website compatibility.

With all due respect: speed can kill...

Read carefully and SLOWLY what people have written about G-corporation and why they can NOT be trusted...

Btw, Firefox can be equally, if not even more of a Speedy Gonzales but we sometimes want NOT to trade speed for security and privacy... Performance can NOT be reduced to speed, by any stretch of imagination!

When installing go to Advanced and untick this option...

Or go to Control Panel and unistall it, if you do not want it.

    Easy-peasy, FF squeezy... :D

b/c google has become a pretentious thug; it's gone from underdog to "im the alpha dog now kiss my feet and hail all that i say".

i seize every opportunity not to use their products; the only one i haven't stopped using is their search

now if someone would please samsungnize google search, that would be much appreciated

And to summarily answer the question:

    reason :: their brand

Google Chrome is more likely to steal your personally information in my opinion than any other browser. But AdBlock and DoNotTrack Plus seem to do the job if you are using Chrome.

Me I use a combination of Waterfox and Chrome.

I have used Safari since 2006, as IE6 & 7 had my heart broken with pop ups. I have been using Safari's 304Beta since 2007*version*4.42.0.0 still the same old installer. Everthing opening in the same window and no toolbars cluttering up half the screen. The browser is a web browser and that is all...

It loads fast on cold starts, unlike chrome with slow speeds. Chrome is far from a light weight browser. I use to use Chrome for cityville on fb because it handled the flash better, and that's the only reason. If Chrome died tomorrow I'd go back to K-Meleon for a flash browsing, as its light weight 24.75MB vs Chrome 181.00MB Never use FF for browsing.

Opera I just dont like, and Ive tried it again within the last 30 days. I like IE9 but only use it when I really have too. Never liked tabs and Chrome's window off-alignment just pee's me off. I also have 3 of Chrome's setup installers blocked with AVG. Why does it need 3?
Another thing I dont like is the way it downloads files from the net, If a file takes 3hrs 23mins with Safari, Chrome will just state 3hrs and just sits there. So that is what stopps me from using Chrome. Better the devil u know, sometimes... I have nothing else belong to App..le*:)

I am using both Chrome and Firefox.
It depends on what site or what things i am going to do with my Internet. As far as i know, chrome is much faster than FF, but in some site, the Older Chrome doesn't recognize some Script or HTML language.
For Ex, i have a blog using Facebook Comment. In Older version of FF, it works.
But, for Chrome, it doesn't appear at all. After i update my Chrome to the latest version, it appear normal like other site. Hmmm...that's why i use both of them.. :biggrin5:
