What's with this 7600.16386 "refresh" build?

    I just read some information about this build being a refresher? What's this all about? Thought they signed off on 16385.?

    Post I found stated more than likley this has additional sounds, icons, and wallpapers....?

    they probably added more crap to bugger it up before they sell it to us.we all know microsoft:D

    I read in many places that ms was planning a surprise on the final rtm (with the ui). Cant wait to see what they have done with it.

    It's fake. They won't do any changes, they don't have to.

    As far as I read, it could be possible, that they do a recompile before October, when the DVDs are in stores to include new bugfixes.
    But all changes between 16385 RTM and the possible 16386 will be available trough Windows Update...

    don`t think so, print zilion od DVDs need time and RTM is RTM

    thats not likely at all. Not going to happen IMO. Final RTM has been announced as being available on the 24th and 6th etc. Final means final..

    You have any idea how bureaucratic MS's release process is? I've had the displeasure of working with MS dev teams on software revisions before and I can guarantee you that a spelling mistake would take at least 2 weeks to go through the proper channels. A change to the UI is outside any realm of possibility.

    Hell yea once i tried to deliver a whopper to steve for all the work he does ect and it did take also 2 weeks to get thru so now i send big macs or smth, its a true story i swear :D

    No recompiles. But they might add more drivers to retail dvd.

    Bottom line is, this iso is the exact same build that will be installed on new computer preloaded with win7. They can't make any more changes to the build.
