The updates are for the all versions of the build you've downloaded them for, including all editions.
Damn, that was fast! Thank you for the quick answer. I feel sorry for the Home user who are downloading all those useless bits.
1.Windows 7 Offline servicing scenario: i used the Home Basic ,Home Premium and enterprise editions of Windows 7. In case of Home Basic, for example, sometimes the offline servicing went fine and sometimes i was getting errors near the end of almost each of the categories of updates integration process(also sometimes the errors happened in case of few of the categories of updates). similar is the case with Enterprise edition also and in case of the Home premium i only got errors. The errors i was getting in all the three above cases are exactly the same. Also. got errors while unmounting the images only in cases where i got errors during the offline servicing process. see the images for more details: Offline Servicing errors hxxp://i67.tinypic.com/59qas.jpg hxxp://i64.tinypic.com/ive0d4.jpg hxxp://i65.tinypic.com/riypw9.jpg hxxp://i64.tinypic.com/2ex1q13.jpg hxxp://i67.tinypic.com/24x1ef9.jpg hxxp://i66.tinypic.com/ht632v.jpg hxxp://i65.tinypic.com/nx40mp.jpg hxxp://i65.tinypic.com/k9jjfm.jpg hxxp://i64.tinypic.com/8xq7b8.jpg Unmounting error hxxp://i63.tinypic.com/2r6hbg9.jpg I am unable to understand the Windows 7 Offline Servicing scenario.plz advice. Nikolai007: Those three "WUClient-SelfUpdate-somethingsomething" updates are included in WindowsUpdateAgent-7.6-x64.exe, but not the servicing stack. So I would say yes, WindowsUpdateAgent-7.6-x64.exe is needed. But wait for abbodi1406 to answer to get the definitive word.
Nikolai007: Those three .cab files are in the #General folder (not #Hotfix). They're not included in the servicing stack update (KB3020369) nor in the convenience rollup (KB3125574). Those three .cab files are included in WindowsUpdateAgent-7.6-x64.exe though. I'm not sure what the difference is between using the three individual .cab files vs. using WindowsUpdateAgent-7.6-x64.exe, so let's wait for abbodi1406 to answer to know for sure.
The three .cab files are already superseded by all "Windows Update Client" updates that were released separately beginning with KB2990214 towards latest one KB3138612 which already superseded by the convenience rollup (KB3125574) and July 2016 rollup KB3172605 as for WindowsUpdateAgent-7.6-x64.exe, it's explained in Extra-Updates-Info.txt Code: - WUClient this exe file can be use for online install only, or you can use the .cab files in General category summation: you do not the .cabs or .exe if you intend to install July 2016 rollup KB3172605
Hey can I ask what method you are using to integrate these WMF in that specific order that you said has been working? Thanks!
