Yeah pretty much that since i was looking only to integrate IE11 and skip earlier versions of IE; I'm pretty much making a slipstream Win 7 x64 Ultimate ISO and avoiding any updates that telemetry may touch. Thanks for the heads up and welcome. Thanks for the update
The script installs the servicing stack update (KB3020369) first, but it looks like it may install KB2670838 after the rollup. Maybe abbodi1406 can clarify the install order of his script next time he logs in. The latest version of his script is 2.7 and is available here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/abbodi1406s-batch-scripts-repo.74197/#post-1343297
Hello, I was wondering when slip-streaming cumulative updates for the latest 10 download from Microsoft do I only need to install the latest cumulative update? or all updates since the release of the ms build in media creation tool?
Did you checked WHDownloader update list? Code: 14393: KB4035631 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 KB4038782 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 KB4038806 Adobe Flash Player Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 15063: KB4022405 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 KB4038788 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 KB4038806 Adobe Flash Player Update for Windows 10 Version 1703
Hello fellas, So.. I'm thinking about making a custom Windows 8.1 ISO with all of the latest/available updates slip-streamed. How should I use this app? do I download every single available update and call it a day? or is there a smarter way?
Hi slackeritguy, WHDownloader allows you to download the updates/hotfixes. Everything available through it is the latest, thanks to abbodi1406's diligence. There is a ReadMe file included that explains some of the basics about the app. It can also viewed here: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/whdownloader-download.66243/ There are some updates that are for specific components (like RSAT) so if you don't use those components, you don't need those updates. So, use WHDownloader to obtain the updates, then you can use abbodi1406's installer script to install/integrate them. For Win8.1, use his script "WHD-W81UI" available here: http://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1343297/
There are only 6 updates for each list that uses non-Microsoft links so there are Microsoft links failing check you DNS settings or network latency or right click on bottom bar in WHDownloader and increase URLtimeout (example 20000 = 20 seconds)
Hi, sorry about this, its a GetServerResponse check problem (my code needs to be updated) I will release an update as soon as i get some free time, v0.0.2.3 to fix some issues. Thanks for feedback.
Thank you guys for your answers, it's a bit clearer now. I didn't know about the general philosophy to get the latest package regardless if the old one is broken or not, I'm still stuck with the "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" Nothing, I just copy-pasted from a text file I did and forgot to remove those that weren't relevant to my question. Thank you anyway
Did you try URLs in IE? if manual download doesn't work, then you should check your DNS/connection settings KB4021918 = Hyper-V integration components it's not distributed separately (yet), rather part of the Monthly Rollup Windows 7/8.1 guests in Hyper-V will get it from Host OS that have the rollup installed
