Thanks for the links, I didn't notice that there are Enterprise N edition released. But after All searching, I can't find these images' download links: Code: File Name: en_windows_8_1_enterprise_n_x86_dvd_2791297.iso SHA1: A2F8F2E112DB9A59B55E2B6C263C40BECBA2DF01 File Name: en_windows_8_1_enterprise_n_x64_dvd_2791038.iso SHA1: 696E2F16C9AAD0C7360F0CA6325A18EDF7C30168 File Name: en_windows_8_1_pro_n_vl_x86_dvd_2791509.iso SHA1: EFFD33BBEEC46C486A52ABDB988186045F568DA4 I think maybe I need someone who has the MVS account that can download it. @Enthousiast
Yes. MSMG_ToolKit does not have your last VCRuntime and NetFX48. Installing NET48 from WHDownloader (Additional\NET48) does not work in WHD-W7UI, + does not install the extreme ESU "NDP48-KB5028958-x**.exe" atop ".Net Framework 4.8" (integrated by another tool) ...integrating all the latest updates into Win7 becomes like a quest using many tools and strictly following the sequence. Question-desire: is it possible in WHD-W7UI to make updates from Additional\_NotAllowedOffline automatically installed at the first login? (or better: a folder from which any updates, registry tweaks, etc.). Auditing and SetupComplete.cmd are useful tools... but when everything is inside (install.wim) it's "more interesting".
@abbodi1406 I have a question about the Windows 8.1 x86 update with WHD-W81UI v7.3. Because there's no ESU update for Windows 8.1 x86. Should I use the BypassESU-Blue-v1 before I use WHD-W81UI v7.3 to install KB5028228 or not?
Those are three different things - i'm not contributor with MSMG Toolkit - regarding WHD-W7UI and NET 48 https://forums.mydigitallife.net/goto/post?id=1796357#post-1796357 - WHD-W7UI already handle those updates and add them to install.wim, except KB3046269
I'm talking about this: + Updated the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Pack (Windows 7/Windows 8.1/Windows 10/Windows 11) with VC++ 2022 (14.36.32532) Runtime (Thanks to MDL Member : abbodi1406) + Updated the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 Pack (Windows 7/Server 2008 R2) with .NET 4.8 KB5022509 (4.8.4614.10) Runtime (Thanks to MDL Member : abbodi1406). ...finish? Or should we expect the latest updates from you?
Dear Prof. @abbodi1406 I have a clean Windows 8.1 Update3 x64 system, and I used WHDownloader with your updatelist Windows8.1-Update3-x64 of 8/8/2023 to update my system via your script installer WHD-W81UI v7.2, I have a few notes and questions please: 1) Why are there two SSU files in the baseline folder? I see no use of Windows8.1-KB3021910-x64.msu which dates back to 2015, am I missing something? 2) In the Do.Not.Integrate-Info.txt it is written that these updates can not be integrated automatically, but when I check "Installed Updates" those 4 updates are actually automatically installed by your script. 3) Windows 8.1_Update3_x64_iso contains 34 pre-installed updates, which as you know some of them are superseded by newer updates, when I select resetbase in your script I still get those 34 updates, none of them is removed from the "Installed Updates". Furthermore, I see no output messages related to resetbasing when running your script. 4) Why is with each run of your script installer the latest SSU (Windows8.1-KB5027574-x64.msu) get detected and installed? I know it get installed with the first run, but why to install it again, is it some bug with the script installer? 5) I know that ESU updates need special care to install them (e.g. ESUs Standalone installer, ESU eligibility suppressor or bypass), but isn't possible to make WHD-W81UI capable of automatically handling ESU updates? I think WHD-W7UI already can do this for Windows7 ESU updates. 6) After installing ESU updates using Windows 8.1 ESUs Standalone installer, I run your script installer (WHD-W81UI) to see if there are any updates left; surprisingly, I still get those already-installed ESU updates detected (e.g KB5029312, KB5022525, KB5027141, KB5028970). But this time WHD-W81UI successfully re-install them without popping up an error message (which prior to using ESUs Standalone installer is popping up). Kindest regards
@tf 1) KB3021910 was the last independent SSU (that don't require KB2919355), up until 2022-04 KB5012672 and later it's left for consistency with RTM list 2) Although techincally they should not be integrated, but for offline integration it's safe enough https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1773796/ 3) ResetBase and Cleanup System Image does not work offline if there are pending updates unlike Windows 10/11, most Windows 8.1 updates will trigger pending status you must install the OS image first before you can run cleanup 4) Latest version is v7.3, you can try it 5) WHD-W81UI already handle ESU updates since v7.1 6) I'm not sure i understand the issue is it about mistakenly reinstalling those updates? or detecting them?
