duch sorry, I didn't know whd also have ability to check list of our microsoft product update, I thought yesterday it only check the mcripp or komm repository or only check the hotfix based the xml list, duuuch sorry alpha (i've wasting time checking and download update based windows update log) ok, I'll start making tomorrow, need to clean install today (resorten my os list first)
Sorry- my PM message was apparently not clear or possibly you misunderstood what I said. No, you were right originally- WHD does not currently have update lists for Office 2010. So you are correct in doing it manually, as you are now. After thinking about this more, maybe you could just gather a list of needed updates and post them in this thread (use "spoiler" tags to minimize size), and then we can decide on how to proceed. Thanks.
i found that date shows incorrectly for newer updates (for year 2014). like this one, "2013/13/04". View attachment 26453
From someone that usually reads, researches, familiarizes and then does OS servicing manually, i just have to say it's really nice to be spoon-fed something for a change from people i trust. When the repo was down, it took alot of work each month to stay up to date with offline images. This even finds superseded updates. Hats off to those involved. This is a wonderful application.
Hi guys, I think we dont need to make the xml list for office 2010 update, in fact with whd even much more easier since some people perhaps use different configuration for the installer it self, (I only use excell, access, powerpoint, word and outlook), an example I download the office 2010 update like this with whd : View attachment 26472 now if u want to integrate the msp into ur office 2010 installation, u could expand the cab, or just extract with winzip, 7zip, or winrar (or other archive application) and put only the msp file into "Updates" directory in ur office 2010 installation folder. Not sure if me or bug but under update lists i have: Also i suggest a few enchancements: 1. Make categorys selectable. Currently when i launch WHD and click General > "Select all" then everything under General,Hotfix and Security is selected. Would be nice to select these categorys myself if for example i want to skip Security. 2. Add options to collapse and expand categorys. By default all categorys should be collapsed to give a better overview. User could expand them by clicking + sign in front of the category or via button/menu. Kinda like Windows Updates Downloader does. EDIT: Not a bug. My fault. Had the old UpdateList present at the location i ran EXE from.
Thank you so much for hard work, I just have some questions. 1. Are these Windows 7 updates contains updates before SP1? Because the program shows me more than 580 updates for Windows 7 x64, I definitely sure it also counts updates before release of SP1. Am I right? 2. Does Windows 7 updates downloaded by this program work on Enterprise edition, too? I mean, can I integrate for example Windows 7 Updates x64 with Enterprise edition and make updates ISO? Thanks!
You can add a filter to avoid listing the contents of some folders. for example, a text file where you can add line by line the name of the folder you do not want to show your content and so avoid downloading. For example, I personally do not use IE8, IE9, IE10, .... thx!
alpha, thx for the update, I think there's minor cosmetic u need to change in whd for category, an example like this : View attachment 26505 the update is for office 2010, but u mix that with native windows security update? even it's the same type as security update, but it's for office I think
Thanks ar_seven_am, those updates are direct from Windows updates, ill take a look at why the categories mixed up Hi, which updates were you downloading ? can you post a screen shot
it will be great if when you download Office 2013 X64 updates to have with green colour the updates you already have downloaded. in Windows 8.1 X64 its working and it informs you if you have already downloaded some updates. this way you'll know which updates are the new to download. thank you my friend!!! great work!!!! be well.
