No, I didn't know that. I have used Windows 7 as all the Windows editions before that. My Windows 8 is not buggy, and has nice features, that's why I prefer it over Windows 7. I have customized my Windows 8 to my needs, that is remove all the modern UI and Store related stuff. Windows 8.1 is more off the same in my perspective and did not upgrade but have a Windows 8.1 copy on another HDD, which I don't use. According to the OS market share Windows 8 is more used than 8.1! Therefore my question: Why is Windows 8 not supported?
Reason why Win8 RTM is not supported is SP level. Win8.1 is essentially SP1 for Win8 RTM and only the latest SP level is supported for both OS-ses. That is also the reason why there is no Win7 RTM support and only SP1 support. Atleast that's my understanding.
Can't WHD, be used for regular monthly updates download and install?????????? Using WHD 4.7 downloaded windows updates by Dec 2013 and installed. Now downloaded Jan 2014 windows updates but WHD 5.5 is throwing 'No updates have been added' ERRORSo WHD only for integration during the first install of OS with all updates till that time and post to that even if one downloads the updates via WHD, it cannot be installed with the existing interface.... very surprising....Snap shot of steps with Error
If you want to "update" windows 8 then the logical thing to do is install 8.1, its the same reason windows 7 sp0 is not supported
"Select Updates" button isn't there for no reason, you have to select and add updates manually to the install list
Is it just my computer going mad or is the link from page one hijacked and replaced with virus? The file is just 313kB (Norton goes mad) in size and the "spoiler link" on page 73 is 2.3MB Someone ought to look into that. Otherwise this project looks like a winner. /Rab. Written on strong painkillers which might explain incoherent or just plain stupid writing...
In the words of Homer Simpson... "DOH!!" Blaiming the painkillers! Thank you for making the obvious clear. But I'm still blaiming the painkillers! /Rab EDIT: This ought to teach me not to do computer stuff when medicated

Hello, This is my first post among the community. Not being English I translated with Google Translate all. For Windows 8.1 (x64) I spotted on the French version he lacked: Windows-KB890830-x64-V5.8 Windows8.1-KB2901101-x64 (in addition to the Windows8.1-KB2887595-v2-x64) I have a few questions: - The file autounattend.xml does not run on my image you this is normal? A particular configuration? - In the "Image Setup" tab I put a jpg file that has resolution 1280x800 and "committing" stuck above. Should there a particular image? - Can I added some updates (cumulative mode) or is it me to go back to 0 every faith? PS: The question of whether it come from the fact that the application does not say how many there has already been added to update or if netfx3 has been activated ect ... Thank you for your very efficient software.
