Update: Changelog v1.7: Added Download Pause/Resume Added remove superseded updates Bug fixes Thanks to Josh Cell for fixing my problem..
When I press Pause it indeed halts its activity, how ever when I press Resume it jumps a head of what ever MB it was. Lets say I am downloading something and its a 1MB of 10MB, press pause at 1MB and wait 1-3 min, resume and it shows 5MB done. When it checks the updates, does it just load them or do they get verified as well?
It doesn't jump that much for me when paused for any time upto a few minutes. Can you confirm that the update you paused on is still valid ? When you say checks, what part of application are you referring.
I downloaded all the updates for Windows 7 x64. When I open the app with the right folder selected, the program finds the updates I have already downloaded. I was wondering if it checks their validity. I am unsure on which I did pause it, post back later with that info.
I was thinking it did some sort of checksum check, like crc/sha1 or something. I deleted one after I checked the sha1, re-downloaded it and pause it several times. Sha1 one was the same after all that.
I am having the same problem as Lucas. I am running Windows 8 Pro x64 with version 1.7 and after a few seconds saying "querying server please wait" the program just closes by itself. I have run this in a virtual machine as well (win pro x64 again) and i still have the same result. I have run the program as the admin and i am not behind a proxy. I am also from the U.S. Someone mentioned that the server was down but josh cell said he still didnt have any problems even with the server down. What should I do?
This could happen if the server was down when you tried, or your ip is amongst ones blocked by McRip.
Im not saying it is blocked, McRip's server was getting ddos attacks, which is why he removed public access to it.
