I found an ''astral bug"in office x64 update list View attachment 28653 The error is the ''W'' from ''Word2013-kb2863845-fullfile-x64-glb.exe'', as the file is saved as ''word2013-kb2863845-fullfile-x64-glb.exe" and the WHD doesn't recognized as already downloaded !
maybe u should've kept it in beta for a bit longer, though it seems stable enough. Heh, what do i know? Anyways as always for the great work.
Thanks shamu726, i cant be bothered with all these beta's. Not really many beta testers around to report back as often as id like. Im happy enough with the downloader atm, any outside bugs like MSU to CAB is minor and i can live with the occasional little fix.
Update: EDIT: I thought i might add a changelog view to WHD.. I have all changelogs from v2.3 onwards.. I don't suppose anyone has the pre v2.3 changelogs..
Just a minor error I found. I'm planning to do another test run of the slipstreaming this weekend and will let you know how it goes Thanks for everything! Should be displaying "C:\zSlipStream\ISO" instead
This thread was very useful for me because i need all updates and hotfix and slipstream it into an ISO file, thanks a lot to Alphawaves. Also keep the Latest version on the first post always, so we can easily know that the new version was arrived .
Alphawaves: How do i download the latest Updates and Hotfix for XP SP3 x86, because my company still using XP on several machines, and i need to integrates the latest update into the ISO file in order to easy re-install on another machine. Thank you
Tested on Windows 7 Ultimate x86 I was using WHD v8.1 to download Windows 7 x86 updates, the program was working like a charm, also the download was very fast. Thanks Alphawave for your great program.
Ok, here's my slipstream experience so far I started with slipstreaming a Win7SP1x64 ISO. I installed only the security updates for the Professional version because I wanted to test the text document that keeps track of updates. This process took about 20 minutes to finish. Then I tried to slipstream the security updates again and got a message saying that the updates were already slipped and they were automatically removed from the list, Excellent! Then I decided to slipstream the whole folder of updates. It of course removed the security updates that were already installed and I clicked to start the integration with the rest of the updates. The process took only 3.5 minutes. This doesn't seem right! I closed WHD, restarted it again, and tried to integrate again and this time it took 4 hours 10 minutes. Much better! It seems that there is a small glitch if you try to integrate more than once per WHD session. If you quit WHD and always start a new session when integrating, there don't seem to be any problems (according to my particular process of testing). All this was done at work on a 3GHz Core 2 Duo Intel, 4GB Ram, 64bit Windows 8.1 Pro computer with regular HDD and start to finish it took about 4 hours and 30 minutes to create an integrated Win7ProSP1x64 disk. Also, when the 3.5 minute glitch happened, I checked the Integration[Latest] document and all the rest of the updates had been entered in there as if they had actually been integrated. I had to delete the file and rename the previous Integration file to "Integration[Latest]" to try again. Otherwise it would have said that the updates were already integrated. I'm now at home and testing the x86 integration. My computer is a 3.2GHz 3930K, 64GB Ram, 64bit Windows 8.1 Enterprise with SSDs in raid 0 (1100mb/s read/write) and currently at 25 mins and 30 seconds in we have 200/580 updates integrated. It looks like it's on course for a pretty significant increase in integration performance if I compare to the 3 hours 30 minutes it took my computer to do it last time. I will update this post when the integration is complete. Looks good Alpha! Update: So the x86 integration took 1 hour and 23 minutes which is a huge improvement over the 3 hours 30 minutes. A little over 60% faster! I think percentage will be the best gauge for improvement as everyone's computer will vary. I'm impressed
Thanks for the report napkin i'm going to spend a good few days working on the integrator. I've neglected it for some time now, it needs improving..
