Sorry for your trouble; it sucks I know....am going through the same myself since March last year. It would seem lady luck has taken a vacation. WHDownloader works fantastic....very sweet app, so, "live long and prosper" man; the program is just fine. Although, one thing-it does not as of 4:30AM Aug 19, 2014 make coffee for me yet......is that in the works?
I gotta' get out more Thanks, had completely forgotten about this. Right on, never did check when that happened...will from now on though. Thanks for all the headsup.
new update in MS14-054 added KB2976897 and superseded updates by KB2982791-KB2970228-KB2975719-KB2975331 is back to list please check it
I am just wandering.... quite a few "active" files windows is using are lower version numbers and older than those same files stored in the WinSxS folder. Why is that anyways?; I mean shouldn't Windows being using the latest.......?
That's just it, I do always and already have used the Code: Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase command, so, why, then, does the WinSxS folder contain newer versions of the files in use by Windows? My Windows 8.1 does not need the Code: Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /SPSuperseded command because the ISO is update 1 by M$.
KB2976897 has also been reported to be causing causing blue screens stop errors (I have NOT experienced this on my VBox Win7x64 Enterprise test installs) What list are you referencing when you say the superseded fixes are back? I just did a WU check from a clean June image which was fully updated with KUC and it shows the following: View attachment 30368
For the sake of saving space when integrating Windows 8.1 updates to a multi-index wim file, is there a way or method to identify an update branch? In this case I need to integrate only GDR updates cause I believe they will satisfy WU.
Read the first page and you will see abbodi1406 and Komm have taken it "over" so to speak. Read the last pages of the thread and you will find the posts current, the thread very active. One uses WHDownloader, Windows-Update-Checker: KUC, a personal DISM script or similar to get and install the new hotfixes-Windows 7 up to date.
Hi Alphawaves, Not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but update KB2897917-x64 keeps coming back when you choose the list again even after it has been downloaded. Regards cgp
