I saw someone mentioning this build, where did you get it from? I have 10586.17 even after doing all the Windows updates
If you have defered updates turned on it won't download all the build updates when they are released.
I'm inclined to agree. @Mr.X I understood how you could feel his other question was a little 'gung ho' in being quick to ask a question that he / she could have simply Google searched. But this question wasn't as obvious and even I did not know there had been a new build update. I do sympathize in your feeling about how a lot of people do not search or read or help themselves. I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to 'b*tch smack' someone for asking "where can they download Windows 10" when there is clearly a sticky thread in this very forum with all the links to the ISO's. But that doesn't mean every question should be shunned. If you do not like this person please ignore them.
LOL, it was a typo Im gonna format again, my mistake was after installing Windows, I manually installed the 16900 update but that didn't change the build number so I think something went wrong there
Sorry. It may be stupid question, but how to You know, that You have 10586.17, but not anything else? How You see it? (Win Key + R => winver => Enter ) or how?
Windows Key + R / then type Regedit Then navigate to the below key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion Then check in UBR in the right pane / Bottom section, should say 29 PS: Even after formatting and doing a clean installation of Windows 10 Pro using the latest ISO of the Media Creation Tool, initial build was 10586.00, after the Windows updates, it's on 10586.17 not .29
