To begin with:
original iso-file names with MLF in name is the volume-license that doesn't need activation.
also look for X16, X17 or X18 in original filename stands for original, SP1 and SP2

second:
HASH-check your files against Hash-code from source you trust!

Use volume_patch only if you feel safe with it else I strongly recommend only use iso-files with verified HASHes
