I have a vista with ics and workgroup both wireless. i want to connect with my windows7 laptop to the vista one. i only see the option to create a homegroup, not to join how can i?
Just make sure the IP is in the same range. Don't know about your security settings. May want to check that out to see if a PSK is used or open authentication...
Make sure the name of the homegroup is the same on your vista pc. and check this on your win7 pc : control panel > network center > advanced sharing settings (left panel) > expand home or office below, the last setting "homegroup connections" make sure the second option is selected. Now create an account with the same name and pass as on your win7 pc. You should be able to connect to the group now...
ok, where to make the account? on the vista computer? my internet connection on the win7 computer comes from the vista one.
i get internet from the vista lan connection, trough a modem, and share it with its wiress to windows 7 laptop. nou, i can see them both on the laptops, but on the win7 i still cannot acces vista (even if now i see it)
