on notebooks Win10 Pro, on workstation Win10 Ent N (version for educational purposes only) I bypassed Win8 but Win 10 after many tweaks should be good ps.: Winamp went sucks many years ago and is not developed anymore. For audio content use Aimp3 instead (from some time can play SACD-ISO out of the box) for video, like someone mentioned mpc-hc+lav filters + madvr but if you like quick setup without additional configurations potplayer is the best. for 4K content you need lav filters and player both in 64bit versions
literally everything is automatic in Home version. They don't leave anything up to user discretion. It's why a lot of us are reluctant to use it.
For Windows Update anyone seen this? zdnet .com/article/microsoft-releases-tool-to-hide-or-block-unwanted-windows-10-updates/
Do you really want to ruin a good Windows 7 install? IMHO, Windows 7 was the last great Windows desktop OS. So my advice/opinion is not to upgrade from Windows 7 to Win10.
So what is the verdict? It seems that only real big advantage of having enterprise is controlling automatic updates. Rather than that they are quite similar.
I was thinking exactly the same, it is called hope, I to would like to see this version installed in a VM to start, multi-media is obviously 3rd party and the N is always sought after. If this version has some control it may be worth checking out. To date this operating system is not really worth installing on any machine and time is definitely required for it to mature. It now needs to be hacked to provide you with a level of respect. The sheer arrogance of that is still taking sometime to stomach. If it an't broke and this new OS does not really get any hype from me to date. Definitely desktop users will need to tweak the heck out of it, starting with replacement for the start menu, what is xbox in the start menu on the enterprise addition? Do I need to Get Skype to use this app Regards
Can't decide on which version to install, if i don't care for hyperV and all big business features, should i still go pro? Beside the ones detailed in version tables, what are daily use differences?
Great info, I have been coming back to it again and again to make sure what I am downloading is right. Thank you.
I would like to see a pool of how many ppl are using "N" version. I'm running 8.1N and the lack of any video renderer almost make me regret install this.
