The default for normal folders is "Details" view but I find it very limited in terms of viewing real estate I have to keep scrolling down to find the files I want.

    I prefer the "List View"

    What does everyone else prefer?

If I don't count, that explorer.exe runs as system shell on the background and provides some system windows, I don't use it as File Manager at all.
...from times of MS DOS 5 Shell... MS can't create usable file manager....

It depends on the type of folders. I change between options cause some times I need to see details like date and time, but hope there were more options.

If you don't mind me asking, why is the Poll ? Do you have another option:a utility or something ? An innocent Question. :bye1:

...since most used operation is copy/move, anything with two panels and FTP client works fine for me.
I have currently Total Commander v8-01 x64 installed and from the day of Windows installation (and TC installation) I never clicked on FileManager/My Computer icon. :)
