Update Fix found: (white search box) Fix (change your region country to locaiton without Cortana and then back): Settings / Time & Language / Region & Language Then choose another country from the drop down (Gabon works). Sign out Sign back in and change region country back to your correct country.
Have you tried runing the command below from an eleveted (admin) command prompt: Right click windows start button and select "Command prompt (admin)" and ok UAC warning, then TYPE: Code: Powershell THEN: Code: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocati on)\AppXManifest.xml"} It will show some warnings while running but should complete ok. It will reinstall default apps including Cortana.
Yes, I've tried it, but it doesn't work. I've also tried WSreset command and the "Troubleshooter for Windows apps" with the same result.
And you are on a verifed microsft account, geolocation services are turned on (you have not dissabled them via some tweak or tool) as they are need for cortana to work? Looks like an inplace upgrade my be called for, if thats does not work a full re-install will. seems like something was tweaked to far.
Cortana now working, I can't only access to its settings. I'm logged with a verified Microsoft account and I don't disable in any way the geolocaton services.
I've noticed that when I kill all Cortana processes, sometimes I can access to Cortana settings, but if I try to re-access to them right after, I can't access to Cortana settings again.
Now I can always access to Cortana Settings: I,'m not sure, but I think that now works because I re-enabled "Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework" Service (It's the only thing that I changed). But now I've another related issue: Cortana forgets over and over again my custom News Topics. Any idea?
