sorry i guess i worded it wrong, im looking to modify the remote page after login, i plan on using whs2011 as a test web server as well and wanted to add links to current projects
WHS's remote web access site is in %programfiles%\Windows Server\Bin\WebApps. For testing sites I'd set them up as additional sites in IIS though, running on a different HTTP host name or port. This way you can keep them separate from WHS remote access, and it won't be affected in case you ever mess up something in the site config.
Sure, if they're using different ports you can run xampp as well. IIS will be using 80 for regular HTTP and 443 for HTTPS, so just configure it to use something else than the default.
@Marduuk, I was using wamp on WHS v1 worked great for internal testing, but caused me some trouble with port forwarding on my router. I switched to using the bult-in IIS with different host names (as 100 suggests) which worked internally and externally. So I've done the same on WHS 2011
