Problem with understanding English? client_restore_disc_windows_home_server_2011_x8 6_x64 If I had WSSE then I would have also upload it! sebus
lol. So Prathaprabhu has stopped selling MSDN keys and is now dealing in download permium accounts. The boys a real trier. @Sebus, Isn't that CD Recovery disk the same as the USB Recovery media you can make from the console ?
Exactly as the specified command! Downloa the xdelta3 (rename to xdelta3.exe), run the command Delta is the difference only, so when you have original & the delta, you can get new file Do not ask me how exactly the program does it at the low level sebus
So, will I be right in assuming if someone wants to set up a simple home storage server with windows, from a techinical point of view with just 4-5 users then WHS is as good as WSSE. That is to say, reliability, ease of repair and automation wise. ?? Or at the end of the day, it is just really a personal or techinical preference?
From what I have seen and read WHS 2011 is a more limted version of WSSE 2008 R2 in that it limits the users to 10 instead of 25 and WHS 2011 cannot join a domain. If you are just looking for a simple storage/backup solution for less than 10 users, I know it's older but, you may want to look at WHS v1 due to the easier addition of storage with drive extender (that has been removed in WHS 2011). I have been using WHS v1 for a couple of years now with great success but I need more than 10 users so I am going to be seriously considering WSSE.
I hesitate to recommend WHS v1. On the same exact hardware I had several networking and performance issues that have simply vanished after switching to WHS 2011. WHS 2k3 was nice for drive extender, but I understand why they pulled it, just wasn't reliable enough and too slow. By going with an older OS you'd be missing out on NCQ, advanced format drives as well.
