Ya I did a bunch of testing and nailed down the exact file that did the locking but couldn't get around it. I was the person who found this glitch but doesn't really serve much purpose due to the amount of issues it generates. Given that we can't do much with this there is no real reason to use Cody's KMS tool to activate this copy of Windows 10. However I have some ideas on how to kill the timebomb still. I also have a few ideas to enable upgrading from the technical preview to the consumer preview in the future.
Whats the point in using any activation solution on an Operating System that has a digital signature timebomb in the windows boot loader file? I'm just curious... Does it make you guys feel better lol
Lazerbat you underestimate the amount of annoyance this is giving me at the moment lol S1ave77 I don't like the sound of that...
Sure, you can. But my HDD is not anymore the one where the first activation happened. And Phone activation is so boring...
Used the key from my Win 8.1 ProWMC install (the one i upgraded to the Preview) and it activated online without problems .
Mine does not. Windows said that the key was used on "another PC" (it's still the same PC, with an SSD instead of an HDD)
