Same here, Windows 8 and not 8.1, don't want all the changes to 8.1. Customized my Windows 8 to a beautiful OS, yes this is possible! Windows 9 has to go back to the drawing table, because 8.1 is to much for touchscreens, tablets and phones. Windows 9 could be a nice DESKTOP OS if Microsoft gives people the right choices how they want to use their OS.
M$ should back to simple! Win9 should separte the tablet/phone, desktop/laptop editions cos the former is for infotainment device and the latter is for computer device. I can not use tablet to do the original computer function efficiently!
its not suck ppl hav hard time to explore it or dont have iq to learn the new ui w8.1 satisfied win 8.1 upate 1 amnazing wrk love it " win 8.1 best os " need more official apps in store "
I don't see any reason why to not use 8/8.1 especially with latest update until W9 shows up. We are living in a continuous evaluation process which will never end. W7 is not the end of windows development and was never intended to be. Recently a guy came to me for a fix of his 7 and I started to laugh about that old fashioned system. I showed to him the new 8.1 and after a few minutes he wanted it on his machine. He's still happy and he is as old as I am ...
in india majority peoples and (every govt organisation employees ) don't know how operating win 8 ? they still useing useing win7 60% xp 35% win8 5%
not only in India but in most parts of the planet older system are used at big companies and governments due to a big factor: $$$ As long as the support of MS is available for older systems like vista and 7, they will not switch to a newer os. They don't look at it as a toy like we do. The commercial factor is the most important one ever. Anyway, but this has nothing to do with improvement or progress in in any way. I'm quite sure that there will be companies running 7 even when 10 or 11 is on our machines
I have used every version since 3.1 and never gone backward, no intention of starting now. Keep those new versions coming...
my biggest problem now if I were to go back to win7 after using win8 for so long, I need to get used to it all over again. I got myself used to moving around in win8 and some of its new things that its hard to use win7 lol
After making sure no one is having disastrous results with a new RTM, that's what I go with. Touch Screen okay for portable devices, but I don't see myself going there with a desktop monitor.
I would not hold my breath on that. Moderately to highly unlikely that if your hardware has problems with 8.1, those will disappear in 9.
