I have another machine that I have persevered with since Win8 came out. I did the 8.1 update and kept the system updated with all the fixes and, as of yesterday, I removed it and replace with Win7 Ultimate, much better and I think I will wait to see if the Win9 is going to be any better.
Sir, I might disagree some with your statement. M$ mission has always been and will always be about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and control of data flow.
Isn't it that the main mission of any profit based company (which are maybe 98% of all available around the world!) are $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in first and even 2. line?! Microsoft isn't that max left 2% of companies! And if you would run an company, your main goal would and must be to make: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$! Or am I wrong?
Companies that are for profit strive to make money for their owners and shareholders. In addition, they need to focus on long-term survival. Too many companies die because they fail to adapt to changes. Look at how many companies that once were high flyers are now gone: Polaroid, Atari, Fairchild Camera, Compaq Computers, even IBM is only a shadow of what they once were. There are many more examples. Microsoft has done well (so far). But CEOs come and go and we shall see how the new CEO does as time goes by.
Oh, SAWADIKAP... ฿ means Baht? or Bit-coin? if Baht, may be raising after the red-yellow-shirts make peace. I still have some Baht notes (plastics) after travelling Thailand... I keep this money wanna buy the "NEM" raw-pig-meat(pork)-ball-with-chilli-and-vinegar next time i go to Thai. I haven't gone there since the red-yellow-shirts-riot... if Bit-coin, may be 1US$ = 1 X 10^100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 (i.e. 1 E 50) ฿-coin when win9 is lauched,
So...I'm afraid the original M$-win8/8.1 have TROJON as the MrTROJON who "migrated" to N*kia and then "ate" N*kia by means of killing S*mbianOS and changing to Win*(phoneOS), and then went back to his mother-companyM$ after mission accomplished.
Hmm ... like it for being optimistic, but time will tell . In Win 8.1 MS introduced the changes in KMS protocol in one of the last leaks (after Public Beta shortly before RTM).
I am unsure why everyone hates 8 so much.I like it.Admittedly the metro side sucks but its not hard to uninstall all the apps.It seems most people would be happy if windows 9 is basically windows 7
Everyone's just jumping aboard the public opinion train. Most power-users know how to remove all the apps and set the OS up decently so that it's not as annoying. I never used the start menu anyway, so I just go around using keyboard shortcuts like a boss. Winkey+r to run, winkey+s to search winkey+x, then a for admin command prompt Come to think of it, most of my favorites are in the winkey+x menu.
I think your right. The differences as far as i can tell between 7 and 8 are minimal.I have to assume that the dislike is from people who haven't really tried it. My 8 machine runs like a clockwork.Dare i say i think i prefer it.
I can use either win7 or win8.1 but I tend to prefer win7. No matter which version of Windows I use it must have Windows Media Center to compliment an HD Homerun Prime. I will never use a touchscreen except for small handheld devices which I try to avoid.
