That was fast. GOOD I need info what was win 11, 10 ? Did you use the before and after features compare, what about packages or capabilities or components?! PRO user. Thank You The tool is meant for all users, regardless of experience. OpenSource nope, never.
This got my attention. Why did you leave MDL in the first place, then return? It does appear you wanted more attention. Still and all, this does have some merit, just unsure how much. A wait and see how this plays out (after that drink or two).
I cropped the picture because there's nothing on your site explaining what's "OPEN Source" or intended to be FOSS, the menu item goes nowhere! Having an item on the MAIN MENU for WimWizard that says clearly "OPEN Source" implies you have these intentions, which is apparently not the case and will be seen as misleading at the very least or even disingenuous.
The “Games” folder is just a placeholder name; you can name the folders and files however you like. There are two ways to do this: either edit the folder names and paths in AdvancedRun.cfg, or specify them manually in the main script, for example: if exist "%~0Data\Temp" rd /s /g "%~0Data\Temp" >nul 2 >&1 mkdir "%~0Data\Temp" mkdir "%~0Data\Temp\Mount" move /y "%~0*.wlm" "%~0Data\Temp >nul 2 >&1 and so on... However, the author is essentially offering a tool conversion, not a fully ready-made solution. In that scenario, it would all boil down to the user needing to extract the downloaded archive (to any drive), place the required install.wim and update files inside it, run “Start” as Administrator, and that’s it—we’ll wait for the result. But at this stage, unfortunately, all of this looks more like an advertisement than a ready-to-use solution. Perhaps in the future, the author will provide us with a fully ready-to-use solution for testing, rather than just a conversion of his image-handling tool?! Yesterday, I spent the whole day working on this project, just for myself, to turn it into something user-friendly and easy to use. For now, the tool created from this set of suggestions is undergoing testing. Personally, I am quite satisfied with the preliminary test results. Once the tool has passed all testing stages and, most importantly, if the resulting image can be successfully installed and the OS functions normally, I will be able to share the results with my colleagues on the forum, along with the resulting tool—a normal and user-friendly image-handling tool derived from this set of proposals.
Try a different browser, or check your extensions. I always overwrite the default google settings. Since past long distance closed projects. If you see any ads on my blog then check or talk with your net service provider. Also i use about 95% only CSS. Yes Thank You Sir, that's it. Use any folder you like and adjust paths to them accordingly, u can automate it perfectly done, u can map cbs componets example use Autoruns check services, drivers, explorer whatever then copy the decompressed manifests and those could be 18000 or 24000 in a place seach what you need from Autoruns see the file responsible in manifest do /compcreate for them also you can use Procmon can search in dll in your live os windows see what you would like to nuke and again do a /compcreate for XML's /compcreate will map all depends/used/required and so on inspect see what is what then you can finally nuke cbs with /removecomponents basic you can map and nuke anything with /compcreate and /removecomponents even system drivers and frankly there are 18000 or much more cbs. don't forget that you can also combine like first do capabilities => features => packages => and last => components in that order you can achive the maximum by removing first in order capabilities => features => packages then when you have a safe stable version you can start with the ultimate firepower THE COMPONENTS AKA CBS from there you can make windows the size of your needs (in my case i always nuke the winsxs to about 70mb full folder, because i do manual updates/integration and remove via wimwizard every 6 months ) to tell the truth i am scared by the windows updates, since past years the developers from microsoft they always screw up something, and usually i wait 1,2 moths before even i apply a new install.wim.....because i am waiting for feedback of the bug reports from Microsoft. also don't forget about the files inside the wimwizard subfolder, edit there anything you need or won't, including reg tweaks and all. and most important don't become addicted staying a whole day it is exausting, i especially write that in the very 1'st post. take your time respect yourself sleep eat have a private life too and don't try to do all in one shot! there are ton's of features and the more you discover the more you realize what firepower you have. and also check your logs in those are useful intel. and yes automation is best find. thank you ! and don't worry after some time the internet will be full with custom powered by wimwizard windows slim lite safe and secure editions ! and then we need to add SELECT THE SETTINGS and CONFIGURATIONS as to make a BIG NEW AND BEST SECTION FROM ALL THE USERS FOR THE WORLD !
Hmm, so what’s wrong with the tool’s author using wimwizard.exe - which is essentially a slightly modified and improved version of the well-known tweaker.exe - to process the image instead of the usual tweaker.exe? In my opinion, this deserves nothing but praise - well done!
It was just a reference to forum rule 3.4 - no public posting of homemade os images or iso's. Nothing wrong with making your own images, or discussing tools you use to make your own.
Of course, you’re absolutely right from a legal standpoint. I hadn’t really thought about it that thoroughly. I mean, I hadn’t looked at the issue from a legal perspective, only from a consumer’s point of view. Actually, I was surprised that just about anyone and everyone modifies licensed Windows, and nobody seems to care much about it. But here, someone modified some poor tweaker.exe file—and suddenly there’s such a huge reaction to it. But you’ve convinced me that I need to be extremely careful when using anyone’s untested products, and you’re absolutely right about that - thanks!
This is the Wimwizard-GUI. Perfectly copy interface of the Winreducer. Now that makes my Wimwizard-GUI a "poor slightly modified Winreducer" ? Or maybe a shapeshifting Chameleon? Again...Wimwizard copy RESEMBLANCE(S) of familiar faces for your understanding. In commercial world people use Total Commander, in business world they use private commander(s) never to be available to public. Double Commander was inspired from Total Commander, now does this make Double Commander a "poor slightly modified Total Commander" ?
