    Hi there,
apparently microslop does not intend to update the secure boot certificate (Microsoft Windows UEFI CA 2023) than ends june 26 2026. apparently to push updates to win 11 24h2 ltsc that will get those updates. could this be a potential problem for win 10 iot ltsc 2021?

Do those certificates even work for legacy boot only installs (considering they are UEFI\SecureBoot related)? Might be the reason that win 10 doesn't get the certificates, 10 can boot legacy bios out of the box.

    Hi,
IoT LTSC 2021 here too and I recently updated the certificates to the 2023 version, which expires in 2053.

So, I guess that following the procedure described in this post

    https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...a-keys-need-to-be-updated.89791/#post-1895367

you should be able to do the same as well. ;)

Sorry to tell you this, but I'd love it if you'd eventually realize that my nickname is Logon and not Logan. ;)

Equally and just as sincerely sorry for this profound typo. Fixed. Hope this makes your emotionally supercharged day even better.

    This is a non sequitur...

I'm really not sorry, and not in the least interested or concerned about what you 'believe' or 'like'. My post was about what you know, and that you helped some people -- I apologize for my gratitude...

    No problem at all.

Please note that if I had to react emotionally to all the bs out there (I'm not referring to you) then I'd be in trouble, instead I assure you that there is nothing emotional in what made me post, just noticed you did your "typo" again, more than once. :)

If (an "if" as big as a house) you really wrote it for that reason, then you just deserved a "Like", but instead you wanted to overdo it and even call me a "hero to many!"
Where I come from, this would appear like a whole other thing. ;)
A "Like" would have been enough.

I assure you the complement was sincerely meant, I'm not digging for "likes" on forums -- that sort of thing is for children, I don't give a flying f*ck... But for an enormous number of people, for reasons economic and monopolistic -- Microsoft Windows is not a choice, as well neither is upgrading to Windows 11.

I don't think you realize, or even have the vaguest comprehension what a gigantic economic hurdle just being able affording a very used and dated PC is for an enormous number of people on the planet -- a year or more savings for many, and what a show stopper and disruption it is if it doesn't work, once it's helped them be more economically viable.

I have helped people in exactly these circumstances in Argentina personally, and through a Christian Mission, and can assure you while you may not be my hero, you will be to many if this works for them, and buys a modicum of time and security on old personal computers.

God bless you even if I don't...

Okay, you said a lot of OT things, but at least now I'm willing to believe you. for what it's worth, but your post appeared unnecessarily emphatic, and I don't think that was the case. :)

Anyway, thanks for the sincere appreciation and no, you're wrong if you think that I'm not aware of other people's difficulties, but it's not up to me to point it out and I don't know wtf that has to do with the topic.

However, please note that updating the certificates is not only needed to upgrade to 11, which I would not do and in fact here there's IoT LTSC 2021, but to be able to perform a Secure Boot after the date of June 26, 2026 (in which the 2011 certificates expire) even under Windows 10, if you have read the OP's post and if you have noticed the section of the forum we are in.

And, no, the Like wasn't referring to the fact that you were hunting for "Like"(s), is there anyone who does that???, but to the fact that, if you didn't know it yet, on the forum a "Like" is preferred to a post that says "Thanks", just as the OP did. ;)
