Enthousiast I'm not sure how to report this that help's you BUT here go's I 1st tried to upgrade 19041.1202 to 22454.1000 using (2) with setup.exe. It was a no go. I got a small box saying PC not for Win 11.No Error Codes I then tried 19041.1202 to 22454.1000 using (1) with setup.exe & it worked no problem Was there any install logs created during this that might help ? I am typing this on 22454.1000. WU shows Release Preview Channel. Both Dev_Channel & Beta_Channel are Greyed out. So I'm now using 19044.1202 22000.184 22454.1000
This morning I generated a 22000.176 iso with uupdump. After appling the tool from at the op (and my own tool, not yet published), W11 refused to be installed because my pc doesn't meet the requirements (Intel I7 4th generation and no TPM 2.0). To bypass this problem i had to tell on the first install screen not to search for updates (shutting down the Internet would have the same effect).
I never download those updates, the new downloaded appraiserres.dll will be used and then it will override the replaced one in the temp folder.
Tried the FiX today with a Chinese 22454 insider preview, on a 2013 Lenovo H515 desktop system. Working. Though, Alt+F4 didnt work on the enforced Online/Network selection screen, there also wasnt a "I have no internet" option. So I had to plug in the Network cable for 1 seecond, click Next and remove the Network cable again. The "normal" insider preview still had the "I have no internet" button. 22454 as chinese version as well as the enterprise ISO felt quite more fluent and less laggy than the previous insider preview (on this old device). Also what I really liked about the Installation process of the chinese version is, telemetry settings was 6 little checkboxes/sliders instead of 6 different big setup screens.
Yeh, since whenever, I ALWAYS install new systems off-line. its a habit that I encourage most people to do. Get the system installed first, then go on-line for updates. you just dont have any problems that way.
That doesn't work for ages now. And it's only needed for Home (+SL). At OOBE press "SHIFT+F10" to open cmd prompt, enter "control netconnections" and disable the network adapter, this should still work. en-US also has that same privacy settings option.
The updates offered during upgrade setup is the DU for sources (among others), you won't get that one offered by WU.
Hi. Used the Fix 2.0 and while Setup got this message: About the Prozessor: It doesn´t support Windows 11. OK. But I don´t understand why I get the message that this PC must support TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot?
Jawohl, das habe ich auch bemerkt. I suppose you accepted the downloads proposed at the begining of the update process. There was no problem with previous releases. With 22000.71 all went fine, but I encoutered the issue with 22000.176.
But I select the OPTION 2 of this Fix, which also replaces "appraiserres.dll". Lets see what Enthousiast may reply.
When starting the installation process, the $WINDOWS.~BT folder is created in the root of your C: drive. In the sources subfolder, you will find the appraiserres.dll which is copyied from your windows iso. But if you accept the updates downloading, this files is replaced by an original MS file.
Latest ISO is in E:\Win_11_Boot_And_Upgrade_FiX_KiT_v2.0\Source_ISO\W11\Windows11_InsiderPreview_Client_x64_en-us_22454.iso Yet the tool is giving me this error when trying to apply method 2 : * Type your option and press Enter: 2 The system cannot find the path specified. I am using the TechBench source Client ISO, I don't get it, run as admin, run as non-admin, same error. The ISO itself mounts just fine, I even created a bootable USB with it using Rufus, so I kinda doubt it's an ISO issue. Is there any dependency service or package I am missing ? I do have quite a few services disabled, which I never use, no indexing and such. This is quite frustrating, lol. As far as I can determine, the script fails to create the TEMP folder, and even if I create it manually, after I run the script it actually deletes that folder.
If the structure of your iso correct? IMHO, the script creates the TEMP folder but fails to find the setup.exe file in the sources directory of the generated iso.
If I can mount and write the ISO, I presume yes, the structure is correct. As for the TEMP folder, nope, it never appears unless I create it myself. The setup.exe file is there, the correct version, in the ISO.
